A Cold, Hard Truth
Jan. 28th, 2011 10:21 amI didn't like what I saw on my electricity bill yesterday. I guess that means I'm going to be a lot colder next month... That's what I get for for having a nice, spacious living room. It was such a shock because the cost added up so suddenly; the difference between this month and the last was about four times as much money. Talk about an unpleasant surprise! But the only other option to paying seems to be freezing, so I'll have to find an appropriate balance of the two.
In other news, there is not enough time in the day. It seems like I have so much at the start, but somehow I end up sitting at my computer at 10:30pm without accomplishing half of what I need to do. I try to remind myself that once the month is over and my deadlines have all been met that everything will be fine. But the grand lie is that there will always be something else lurking just over the horizon. Even when this month's chores are finished, next month's chores are taxes... And you know how the old saying goes; there will certainly be no getting out of that one.
